Includes the following items: 1) A mimeographed letter by Judy-Lynn del Rey (with stamped signature) titled A Year-End Report to Our Science-Fiction and Fantasy Readers in which she discusses the importance of Darrell K. Sweet's covers in marketing their catalog, the new fantasy and science fiction acquisitions for the upcoming year (including The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks), the first World Fantasy Convention and more. 2) Five paperback covers with art by Darrell Sweet (including Marune: Alastor 933 by Jack Vance and The Best of Cordwainer Smith). 3) I Have a Valentine from Ballantine promotional flyer and Science Fiction from Ballantine Books color flyer. Del Rey Books branched out from Ballantine Books and became one of the most famous publishers of fantasy and science fiction.
