Also with a nice original drawing by the author on the front pastedown endpaper. Title page and dustjacket art by the author. A story, in the Cinderella style, of an old Muscovite family's rise from the cellars to the pinnacle of success. Previous owner's name on the flyleaf, lettering on the spine panel faded, a couple of pencil annotations in the margins.
