Antique Portable Writing Desk with Glass Inkwells.

A nice antique portable writing desk in burled walnut and ebonized mahogany, with inlays along the edges. Comes with two glass inkwells and the original key. The drawer slides out and opens to a foldout writing pad with dark brown leather stamped in blind and decorated in gilt, and a small tray divided in compartments for writing minutiae. Lifting the tray reveals the paper compartment. There is a longitudinal crack on the top affecting the whole case. The top part is slightly lifted and a small piece of inlay is missing on one of the edges. Overall an aesthetically pleasing piece.
