Marbled endpapers. Engraved title page with vignette portrait of Franklin. Edited and with a preface by Richard Price. While this is volume one of two it actually includes the complete autobiography, the additional biographical section by Dr. Stuber, and extracts from Franklin's will (volume two includes the essays). Very old small bookstore label on the front pastedown endpaper (G. Daniele of Naples). Calf shows some superficial wear, lower corner tips are worn, mild foxing to first and last few leaves, three tiny worm holes on the rear panel along the spine.
