Late 1880s. Heavy cast iron mechanical desk inkwell/pen holder with Japanese lifestyle decorations. It is marked Brooke & Co. - Royersford, PA on the front and Pat. Jan 30 88 on back. Measures 12 W x 16D x 9H cm. The glass bottle is a vintage Parker bottle and not original to the piece but fits quite well. The inkwell shows an extremely nice patina and is in excellent condition.
